Pre-coated Products: Primed
The Monhegan line starts off with a hand inspected select grade Eastern White Pine board. Then we apply two coats of primer to create a lasting foundation for paint. The first coat is a custom made high solids oil based primer and the second is a waterborne primer. After the boards are coated they are hand inspected again to ensure quality standards of the product are maintained.
Stability
Our pre-coating process provides superior dimensional stability for wood. This drastically reduces the amount of shrinking of the wood. Our process ensures that your product is coated with the exact same amount of coating from start to finish. The finish quality and durability of the Monhegan line is second to none.
