The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) is a recognition program administered by OSHA and SafetyWorks Maine. This program is for small businesses with 250 employees or less who maintain exemplary safety and health management systems. SHARP rewards businesses by offering free consultations and training as well as other benefits. Robbins Lumber has been a proud member of SHARP since January 2006 and will continue to safeguard our most valuable asset, our employees.
In the summer of 2006, Robbins Lumber held a barbeque lunch to celebrate our 125th anniversary . One of the highlights of the day was the company's official recognition in the SHARP program. Many special guests were invited including Senator Susan Collins, Governor John Baldacci and State Senator Carol Weston. Also included in the celebration were SafetyWorks Maine representatives, vendors, log suppliers, customers, as well as former and current employees.
